1. Mud Tub by Tom Gerhardt

Instead of using traditional interaction models such as the keyboard and mouse, people can interact with the computer by manipulating a tub of mud.

What makes it so great? The Mud Tub provides a rich and organic interactive experience by augmenting people’s sense of touch. Also, by using mud as a medium, the Mud Tub encourages people to discover new and creative ways to interact with the computer.

What makes it an example of tangible interaction? With Mud Tub, the mud becomes the physical, tangible form that allows people to manipulate digital information.

2. Wiiwaa by Zoink Games

Wiiwaa is a video game for the Wii that let players to control the in-game character with a stuffed animal.

What makes it so great? By simply placing a Wii Remote inside a stuffed animal, the traditional interaction model of the Wii Remote is completely changed. It enables the stuffed animal to become a very interactive control. The stuffed animal provides a different, yet intuitive, manipulation model for the players to interact with the digital game world.

What makes it an example of tangible interaction? In this case, the stuff animal is a physical representation of the in-game character through which players use to interact with the digital game.
